Every driver that passed their test after January 1997 is no longer entitled to drive anything larger than 3.5 ton without taking a new test.

There are 2 options for horse box licences
  1. 7.5 ton licence (for drivers under the age of 21)
  2. HGV Class 2 licence (for drivers 21 or over)

Obtaining these licences couldn't be easier!

New drivers must first pass the Category ‘C’ test before doing Category ‘C + E’. Many people go for a back to back course where they can get their ‘C + E’ licence after they pass the Category ‘C’ course.
