On-Line Employment Law Service
Jul 1, 2008

Croner and the Road Haulage Association have joined forces to bring RHA members a new online product, RHA Croner-i Employment Law, to help users stay ahead of workplace issues and legislation.
Due to launch in April 2008, RHA Croner-i Employment Law will introduce a practical approach to managing employment law issues for UK transport firms, including hauliers and own account operators.

The new service will deliver important HR and employment information in an accessible and easy-to-use format. This online service, updated daily, provides a range of features, from quick, at-a-glance updates and handy employee factsheets, to more in-depth content covering all aspects of employment law, including step-by-step guides on key issues.

Croner together with the Road Haulage Association have incorporated a comprehensive range of ready-to-use model policies, sample forms and letters into the new product, which will also offer up-to-date information on employment legislation and detailed case law reports.

Martin Smith, managing director at Croner, says of the partnership: “People are a very real factor in the success of a business. There are a great many costs associated with non-compliance, not least the threat of closure – what business wants or can afford that?

“Croner is absolutely committed to supporting transport businesses through providing expert advice, information and solutions in this key area. We are delighted that the Road Haulage Association is partnering with Croner to help their members and non-members with employment law issues.”

RHA Chief Executive Roger King said: “I am delighted that we have been able to work with Croner to develop this online employment law service. I know that our members find it frustrating having to deal with the increasingly complex rules that surround the employment of staff, and I am sure this new service will prove invaluable.”
